Chinese smartphone maker Oppo has expanded its premium smartphone portfolio in India with the launch of the OPPO Find X9 Ultra and OPPO Find X9S, marking the strongest company push yet into the ultra-premium Android segment. The launch adds two new devices to the existing Find X9 lineup, which already includes the Find X9 and Find X9 Pro.
Find X9 Ultra Highlights Camera and Battery Upgrades
The Find X9 Ultra is being positioned as the most advanced OPPO smartphone in India to date. The device features a 200MP primary camera system, which is developed in collaboration with Hasselblad, a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, and a massive 7,050mAh battery. Reports suggest the phone will compete directly with other premium flagships such as Samsung’s Galaxy Ultra series and Vivo’s top-end camera phones.
Meanwhile, the Find X9S targets users looking for flagship-grade features at a lower price point. Then smartphone reportedly comes with a triple 50MP Hasselblad cameras, a MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chipset, and a 7,025mAh silicon-carbon battery aimed at improving the performance without increasing the bulk.
OPPO Strengthens Its Premium and Foldable Strategy
The launch comes at a time when the competition for foldable and premium smartphones is growing in India. Separately, the recently reviewed OPPO Find N6 has received praise for addressing one of the biggest complaints with foldables, which is the display crease. Reviews noted that the Find N6 provides a near crease-free inner display, flagship-grade performance, IP69 durability, and strong battery life, though its India availability remains uncertain.
Industry analysts believe OPPO is now focusing heavily on camera technology, battery innovation, and premium build quality to strengthen its position in the high-end smartphone market in India. The newly launched devices are expected to be available through Amazon, Flipkart and the official online store of OPPO.
