Shah Rukh Khan’s King Poster Features a Powerful New Look
The newly released King poster showcases Shah Rukh Khan in a rugged appearance, with grey hair, a gun in his hand and a rose between his lips. Flames in the background add to the dramatic atmosphere, hinting at the action-packed world of the upcoming film.
Sharing the poster on social media, the superstar wrote, “Aaj phir yaad aaya… Qaatil nahi… Aashiq hoon.” The line, which translates to “I am not a killer, I am a lover,” adds a romantic twist to his otherwise fierce appearance.
King Poster Pays Tribute to Shah Rukh Khan’s Baadshah
The caption has caught fans’ attention because of its connection to Baadshah, Shah Rukh Khan’s popular action comedy released in 1999. The film featured the actor in a combination of comedy, action and romance, establishing another memorable character in his celebrated career.
By revisiting the iconic dialogue, the new King poster connects the superstar’s nostalgic screen persona with his darker character in the upcoming action thriller. The reference also highlights how romance continues to remain an important part of Shah Rukh Khan’s on-screen identity, even as he explores more intense roles.
King Cast Includes Suhana Khan and Deepika Padukone
Directed by Siddharth Anand, King features an ensemble cast including Shah Rukh Khan, Suhana Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Rani Mukerji and Raghav Juyal, among others.
The film is particularly significant because it marks the first big-screen collaboration between Shah Rukh Khan and his daughter Suhana Khan. Suhana made her acting debut with The Archies in 2023.
