Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) is expected to introduce two highly anticipated premium two-wheelers, the Honda ADV 160 maxi scooter and the Honda Rebel 300 cruiser, in India tomorrow. .While the company suggest both models could cater to adventure touring enthusiasts as well as cruiser fans.
The Honda ADV 160 is designed as a rugged urban adventure scooter. It is powered by a 157cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine which produces around 16hp and 14.7Nm of torque, paired with a CVT automatic transmission. Built for both city commuting and light off-road use, the scooter features long-travel suspension, dual-purpose tyres, LED lighting, a tall windscreen, keyless ignition, USB charging, and Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) in international markets. If launched in India, it is expected to rival premium scooters such as the Yamaha Aerox 155.
The Rebel 300, on the other hand, is expected to strengthen the presence of Honda in the entry-level premium cruiser segment. It is powered by a 286cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing nearly 27hp and is paired with a six-speed gearbox. The motorcycle is known globally for its relaxed riding ergonomics, low seat height, minimalist bobber-inspired styling, slipper clutch, and dual-channel ABS. It is expected to compete with the Royal Enfield Classic 350, Meteor 350, and Jawa 42 Bobber in India.
Both models are likely to be sold through the premium Bigwing dealerships of Honda. While official pricing will only be confirmed at launch, industry estimates suggest the ADV 160 could be priced between ₹1.8 lakh and ₹2 lakh (ex-showroom), whereas the Rebel 300 may arrive at around ₹2.3 lakh to ₹2.6 lakh (ex-showroom).
If launched as expected, the ADV 160 and Rebel 300 will further diversify the premium motorcycle portfolio of Honda in India, giving buyers more choices in the growing adventure scooter and mid-size cruiser segments. All eyes will be on the official announcement of Honda tomorrow.
