Bajaj Auto has launched the new Bajaj Pulsar N250SS in India at an ex-showroom price of Rs 1.59 lakh. The updated motorcycle arrives as a more feature-rich version of the standard Pulsar N250, which brings improvements to its engine, transmission and technology package. The new model aims to strengthen the position of Bajaj in the competitive 250cc motorcycle segment.
The Pulsar N250SS receives a four-valve engine, a six-speed gearbox, an electronic throttle body and a new TFT instrument console. These additions make it a more technologically advanced offering for riders who are looking for a sporty motorcycle with modern features.
Bajaj Pulsar N250SS Price in India
The Bajaj Pulsar N250SS is priced at approximately Rs 1,59,000, with its official ex-showroom price set at Rs 1,59,406 in Delhi. This makes it around Rs 14,000 more expensive than the standard Pulsar N250.
Despite the price increase, the SS variant offers several additional features and mechanical upgrades. It also remains competitively priced against rivals such as the Suzuki Gixxer 250 and Hero Xtreme 250R Carbon.
Engine and Performance
The new Bajaj Pulsar N250SS uses an updated 249cc, single-cylinder, air- and oil-cooled engine with a four-valve cylinder head. It produces 25hp of maximum power and 22Nm of peak torque, offering a slight improvement over the standard N250.
The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox, replacing the five-speed unit available on the regular model. The additional gear is expected to improve flexibility during highway riding.
Another important addition is the quickshifter, which allows clutchless upshifts and makes gear changes more convenient during spirited riding.
New Features and Technology
One of the biggest upgrades on the Pulsar N250SS is its new 5-inch TFT instrument console, replacing the LCD display on the standard motorcycle. The screen supports Google Maps mirroring, which allows the riders to access navigation information through the instrument cluster.
The motorcycle also features an electronic throttle body, which enables the selectable riding modes. Other additions include adjustable brake and clutch levers, a USB Type-C charging port, a hazard switch and Panic Brake Alert.
These features improve everyday convenience and bring the motorcycle closer to the technology offered by newer competitors.
Bajaj Pulsar N250SS: Rivals
With its updated engine, six-speed transmission and improved equipment, the Bajaj Pulsar N250SS provides a more premium alternative to the standard N250. Its pricing also gives it an advantage over several competing 250cc motorcycles.
The new model is suitable for buyers who are looking for a combination of performance, sporty styling and modern technology without moving into a significantly more expensive segment.
Overall, the Bajaj Pulsar N250SS represents a substantial feature upgrade for the N250 range, with the new gearbox, TFT display and quickshifter being its key highlights.
