Poco has launched the POCO M8x 5G in India, expanding its mid-range smartphone lineup with a focus on battery life, display size and everyday performance. The new smartphone is the first device in India to feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 Mobile Platform and comes with a massive 7,900mAh battery.
POCO M8x 5G Price in India
The POCO M8x 5G starts at ₹20,999 for the 4GB RAM and 128GB storage variant, while the 6GB RAM and 128GB model is priced at ₹22,999. With applicable launch offers, the effective price can be lower. The phone will go on sale from August 27 via Flipkart and will be available in Black, Blue and Leather Green colour options.
Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 and 120Hz Display
The smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 chipset, built using a 4nm process. It features a large 6.9-inch LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate, which makes it suitable for browsing, video streaming, gaming and everyday multitasking. The display has a 720 x 1600-pixel resolution.
The biggest highlight is its 7,900mAh battery, supported by 45W wired charging. The phone also supports 22.5W wired reverse charging, allowing users to charge compatible accessories and other devices.
Camera and Software
For photography, the POCO M8x 5G gets a 50MP primary rear camera paired with a 2MP secondary sensor, while an 8MP camera handles selfies. The smartphone runs Android 16 and is promised four Android OS upgrades along with six years of security updates, which gives it a longer software-support cycle than many phones in its segment.
