Vivo is preparing to launch the Vivo V80 Lite 5G globally, and the smartphone is set to stand out with a massive 10,000mAh battery. The company has confirmed that the phone will debut in Malaysia on September 3, 2026, which makes it the first Vivo smartphone with a 10,000mAh battery to launch internationally.
Vivo V80 Lite Launch Date and Battery
The Vivo V80 Lite 5G will launch in Malaysia on September 3 at 7pm local time, which is 4:30 pm IST. Its biggest highlight is the 10,000mAh battery, designed to offer extended battery life for users who spend long hours on their smartphones.
Vivo has previously introduced the Y600 Pro with a 10,200mAh battery in China, but that model was not launched globally.
The move also showcases a growing trend among smartphone brands to use the larger silicon-carbon batteries as a key selling point, particularly in the mid-range segment.
Vivo V80 Lite Expected Features
Vivo has revealed that the Malaysian version will feature a flat frame and flat rear panel, along with black, green and pink colour options. The rear panel will house a square-shaped camera module with a confirmed 50MP primary camera.
Several other specifications remain based on leaks and certification listings. The Vivo V80 Lite is tipped to feature a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a high refresh rate, while some reports suggest a MediaTek Dimensity-series chipset. A 44W fast-charging system has also been reported, although Vivo has not yet confirmed the complete specifications.
Vivo V80 Lite India Launch
While the smartphone has appeared in earlier India-related leaks, Vivo has not officially confirmed its availability in the Indian market. The company is expected to reveal more details around the global launch.
With its 10,000mAh battery, AMOLED display and 50MP camera, the Vivo V80 Lite could appeal to buyers looking for long battery endurance without moving to a premium smartphone.
