Toyota has launched the 2026 Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition in India, with prices starting at ₹36.51 lakh (ex-showroom). The special edition of the popular SUV receives refreshed exterior styling, a dual-tone interior and additional convenience features. Bookings for the new Fortuner Leader Edition will open on October 12, 2026.
Buyers can choose from three exterior colour options: Super White, Platinum White Pearl and Attitude Black.
Exterior and Interior Features
The 2026 Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition gets a unique black-finished front grille, a sportier front bumper with black and silver accents, and bold Toyota lettering on the bonnet. The SUV also features 18-inch black alloy wheels, a dual-tone black roof and additional black detailing at the rear, which gives it a more aggressive road presence.
Inside, the special edition features dual-tone black and maroon upholstery, complemented by matching door trims. Ambient lighting and illuminated door sills further increase the appearance of the cabin
Additional features include auto-folding outside rear-view mirrors and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), which gives convenience for everyday driving.
Engine and Performance
The 2026 Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition is powered by a 2.8-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine which produces 204 hp. When paired with the six-speed automatic gearbox, it delivers 500Nm of torque, while the six-speed manual version produces 420Nm.
Toyota has not introduced any mechanical changes with this edition. It remains available exclusively with a 4×2 drivetrain, with no Four Wheel Drive option offered for the Leader Edition.
The new model is aimed at buyers who want the Fortuner’s familiar performance and commanding presence with distinctive styling and added convenience features. With prices starting at ₹36.51 lakh, the 2026 Toyota Fortuner Leader Edition brings a refreshed look to the brand’s popular SUV lineup.
