Tata Motors has officially launched the 2026 versions of the Tiago and Tiago EV in India with refreshed styling, upgraded interiors and several new technology features. The updated hatchbacks aim to strengthen the position of Tata in the affordable petrol, CNG and electric car segments.
The new Tata Tiago facelift starts at Rs 4.69 lakh (ex-showroom), while the Tiago EV facelift is priced from Rs 6.99 lakh. The Tiago iCNG range now begins at Rs 5.79 lakh.
Visually, both models have received major design changes. The facelifted Tiago gets redesigned LED headlamps with the eyebrow style DRLs, a revised front grille and updated bumpers for a sharper appearance. The Tiago EV features a cleaner EV-inspired front fascia with a closed grille and sleeker lighting elements.
Inside the cabin, Tata has introduced a completely refreshed dashboard layout with a more premium dual-tone theme. The hatchbacks now provide a larger touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, digital instrumentation, wireless charging, and connected car technology. Higher variants also get a 360-degree camera, blind-view monitor, and automatic climate control.
Mechanically, the standard Tiago continues with its 1.2 litre petrol engine along with the CNG options, paired with manual and AMT gearboxes. Meanwhile, the Tiago EV retains its 19.2kWh and 24kWh battery pack choices. Tata claims the EV version now supports faster charging and improved ownership benefits.
One of the biggest highlights of the launch is the Tata Motors’ new lifetime unlimited kilometre battery warranty for select Tiago EV variants, a move which is aimed at boosting buyer confidence in the electric vehicles.
With the updated looks, more premium interiors and feature-loaded cabins, the 2026 Tata Tiago range is expected to compete strongly against the rivals in the entry-level hatchback market while also making EV ownership more accessible for Indian buyers.
