Tata Motors has expanded its Sierra SUV lineup with the launch of the new Tata Sierra Legend Series in India. Prices for the new range start at Rs 11.99 lakh ex-showroom, which makes it the latest variants more feature-focused while retaining the Sierra’s existing powertrain options.
The Legend Series introduces 18 new variants across five trims: Smart+ L, Pure L, Pure L(O), Pure+ L and Adventure+ L. These variants are based on existing Sierra trims and carry an “L” suffix. Depending on the variant, the Legend Series commands a premium of around Rs 50,000 to Rs 70,000 over the corresponding standard versions.
Tata Sierra Legend Series Features
The new Sierra Legend Series focuses on bringing premium features to lower and mid-level variants. The entry-level Smart+ L gets leatherette seats and interior trim, auto-folding ORVMs, steering-mounted controls, roof rails and wheel covers.
The Pure L adds a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an eight-speaker audio system, rear camera, cruise control, tyre pressure monitoring and 17-inch alloy wheels.
The Pure L(O) takes things further with a panoramic sunroof, automatic headlamps and rain-sensing wipers.
Meanwhile, the Pure+ L gets ventilated front seats, a six-way powered driver’s seat, dual-zone climate control, manual Boss Mode, thigh support extension and leatherette upholstery.
Sierra Legend Series Powertrain Options
The top Adventure+ L variant comes with features including a 360-degree camera, terrain modes, frequency-dependent dampers, dual 12.3-inch screens, front parking sensors, reclining rear seats, ambient lighting, a cooled glovebox and wireless charging.
The Legend Series continues with the Sierra’s existing petrol and diesel engines, along with manual and automatic gearbox options. The Pure+ L also introduces the 160 hp 1.5-litre turbo petrol automatic as the entry point for this engine, while the Adventure+ L gets the 106 hp 1.5-litre petrol DCT option.
The Tata Sierra Legend Series therefore expands the SUV lineup by making several premium comfort and technology features available lower down the range.
