Tata Aeris Facelift to Debut on September 25: What to Expect From the New Tigor-Based Sedan

Tata Motors is set to unveil the Tata Aeris in India on September 25, 2026. The upcoming sedan is essentially the facelifted version of the Tata Tigor, but it will arrive with a new name and a refreshed exterior design. The Tata Aeris is expected to bring in more styling updates, new features and a more modern cabin as Tata Motors updates its compact sedan lineup.

Tata Aeris Design and Exterior Updates

The first images of the Tata Aeris reveal a major updated front end. The sedan gets slimmer LED headlights with a redesigned lighting signature, along with a revised grille and bumper. LED fog lamps are also expected to be offered on the updated model.

At the rear, the Tata Aeris is likely to feature redesigned LED tail lights and a revised bumper. Updated alloy wheels are also expected to form part of the facelift. Despite these changes, the sedan is expected to retain the overall proportions and notchback silhouette associated with the Tigor.

Tata Aeris Interior and Features

The cabin of the new Tata Aeris is expected to receive several technology upgrades. Based on reports, the sedan could feature a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a fully digital instrument cluster.

Other expected features include Type-C charging ports, rear AC vents, updated steering wheel controls and a 360-degree camera. These additions could make the Tata Aeris more competitive in the compact sedan segment

Tata Aeris Engine and Transmission

The Tata Aeris engine is expected to continue with a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol unit. Transmission options are likely to include a five-speed manual and an AMT gearbox. A CNG version could also continue to be offered, although Tata Motors is yet to confirm the complete powertrain lineup.

Tata Aeris Expected Price in India

The Tata Aeris price in India is expected to be announced at its September 25 debut. Estimates currently place the sedan in the ₹5.5 lakh to ₹9 lakh range, depending on the variant and powertrain.

With its new design, updated features and new identity, the Tata Aeris will become an important addition to Tata Motors’ compact sedan lineup. More details about variants, specifications, features and pricing are expected to be revealed at the official debut.
