Motorola has unveiled its latest premium smartphone, the Motorola Signature 27, at the Snapdragon Summit 2026. The second-generation model in the Signature series brings a flagship-focused package featuring the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset, a 200MP periscope telephoto camera and upgraded cooling technology.
Motorola Signature 27 Gets Flagship Performance
The Motorola Signature 27 is among the first smartphones announced with the new Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 mobile platform. Motorola says the chipset is designed to improve the on-device AI capabilities, gaming performance, camera processing and connectivity. The phone also features the ArcticMesh cooling system, which is designed to manage heat during demanding workloads.
The smartphone is also expected to receive seven years of OS and security updates, extending its software support considerably. Motorola has confirmed the Signature 27 will launch globally later in 2026, though it has not yet announced pricing or a specific sale date.
200MP Periscope Telephoto Camera Takes Centre Stage
Photography is one of the biggest highlights of the Motorola Signature 27. The phone features a 50MP Sony LYTIA 910 main camera alongside a 200MP periscope telephoto camera designed to capture detailed images of distant subjects. Motorola is also promoting its Super Zoom Pro technology, which can reach up to 100x zoom using generative AI.
The camera system also includes Motorola’s Video Enhancement Engine, which is designed to improve colour, exposure, highlights and shadows during video recording.
Premium Design and Bang & Olufsen Audio
The Signature 27 features a premium design with ceramic and brushed aluminium elements. It will be available in finishes including Pantone Coal Smoke and Pantone Capulet Olive. The smartphone is also the first Motorola device to feature audio by Bang & Olufsen, adding a premium audio focus to the flagship.
