Khushi Kapoor has once again caught the attention of fashion enthusiasts with her latest festive look, wearing a striking purple outfit by designer Arpita Mehta. Blending traditional Indian craftsmanship with modern glamour, the actor’s backless dress provides a fresh take on festive dressing ahead of Diwali and the upcoming wedding season.
The outfit stands out for its intricate embroidery, bold cutouts and elegant silhouette, which makes it an interesting alternative to the conventional lehengas and sarees.
Khushi Kapoor’s Purple Dress Features Unique Hand Embroidery

The custom-made floor-length dress features a plunging halter neckline, a fitted silhouette and strategically placed cutouts around the waist. Its most unique element is the intricate hand embroidery, which creates patterns resembling traditional Bandhani.
However, the design uses gemstone embroidery inspired by Navratna jewellery rather than actual Bandhani tie-dye. The tiny four-leaf clover-shaped motifs are crafted using Aari embroidery, bugle beads and small green stones at their centres, giving the purple fabric a rich, textured appearance.
The backless design adds up a modern touch, with delicate straps embellished with mirror work. Kapoor also wore a matching pre-pleated dupatta featuring mirror work details, bringing a traditional element to the modern outfit.
Statement Jewellery Completes the Festive Look

Stylist Meagan Concessio complemented the ensemble with statement jewellery from Aren and Ritika Fine Jewellery. Kapoor wore an oversized lattice-style necklace featuring green and blue precious stones and diamonds, paired with matching stud earrings and rings.
The jewellery added a luxurious finish without drawing attention away from the dress’s intricate detailing. Silver coloured pointed heels from Jimmy Choo and an embroidered golden potli bag by Arpita Mehta completed the ensemble.
For beauty, Kapoor opted for a sleek French twist that highlighted the backless design. Mehak Oberoi created her makeup with defined eyes and nude lips, balancing glamour with understated elegance.
Arpita Mehta Blends Traditional Craftsmanship With Modern Fashion

Known for incorporating mirror work, Bandhani-inspired patterns and traditional embellishments into contemporary silhouettes, Arpita Mehta brings a unique approach to Indian occasionwear.
Khushi Kapoor’s latest appearance highlights how traditional embroidery techniques can be reimagined through modern cuts and statement accessories. The combination of gemstone detailing, a dramatic open back and a matching dupatta makes the outfit a noteworthy inspiration for festive parties and wedding celebrations.
With this look, Kapoor showcases how indian festive fashion can embrace heritage craftsmanship while moving beyond conventional ethnic silhouette
