Garmin Launches Screen-Free Cirqa Smart Band With 10-Day Battery Life and No Subscription

Garmin has officially entered the growing screen-free wearable market with the launch of the e Cirqa Smart Band, a new fitness tracker which is designed for users who want comprehensive health monitoring without the distractions of a display. The new wearable takes on rivals such as Google’s Fitbit Air and Whoop by providing advanced health and fitness features with no recurring subscription fees.

Priced at $199.99, the Garmin Cirqa features a lightweight fabric band which can be worn on the wrist or the upper arm ..Instead of relying on a touchscreen, users can easily access their health data through the Garmin Connect app, while a single side button allows quick activity tracking. Garmin says the band delivers up to 10 days of battery life, which makes it suitable for continuous day and night wear.

The Cirqa includes 24/7 monitoring of key health metrics such as heart rate, Pulse Ox (blood oxygen), stress levels, skin temperature, and Garmin’s Body Battery energy tracking. It also provides detailed sleep analysis, including sleep stages, heart rate variability (HRV), breathing patterns, nap detection, and a personalised sleep score to help users better understand their recovery and overall wellness.

For fitness enthusiasts, the smart band supports tracking for more than 80 activities, including running, walking, cycling, yoga, and strength training. Garmin has also included advanced performance tools such as strength training. Garmin has also included advanced performance tools like VO2 Max estimates, Training Readiness, Training Status, workout recovery recommendations, and connected GPS when paired with a compatible smartphone. The device can automatically detect activities and improve its recognition over time using machine learning.

Women can also access menstrual cycle and pregnancy tracking features, with skin temperature data helping improve period predictions and ovulation estimates. The band can additionally sync with the Natural Cycles app, although that service requires a separate subscription.

With its distraction-free design, long battery life, and subscription-free experience, the Garmin Cirqa provides an appealing alternative for users who want in-depth health insights without wearing a traditional smartwatch. The wearable is now available through Garmin’s official store for $199.99, positioning it as a premium yet practical option in the evolving fitness tracker market.
