Arijit Singh turned a corporate milestone into a viral sensation as he performed at a grand concert hosted by HCL Technologies to mark its 50th anniversary in Noida . The exclusive event, held for employees, quickly grabbed online attention, with videos of the soulful performance flossing across various social media platforms.
Clips from the concert showcase Singh singing some of his biggest hits, with employees cheering and capturing the moments on their phones. The celebrations were attended by the top leadership of the HCL, including the founder Shiv Nadar and chairperson Roshni Nadar, showcasing the importance of the milestone event. The company, which was founded in 1976, used this occasion to thank its workforce for contributing to its growth into a global IT giant.
However, what’s truly set the event apart was a thoughtful post-concert arrangement which surprised many. To make sure safe travel after the night show, HCL coordinated with the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation to extend the metro timings until 12;30 am . Employees were even allowed to travel for free by simply showing their company ID cards at the metro station.
A viral Instagram video by an employee revealed long queues of staff entering the metro station without a ticket, calling the experience quite unbelievable. The video quickly gained millions of views, with users praising the employee-centric approach of the company. While many appreciated the gesture as practical and thoughtful, a few also suggested alternative arrangements, such as cab services.
The concert is a part of a larger plan by HCL to host similar events across multiple cities over the coming year, reinforcing its focus on employee engagement. With music, celebration and smart logistics all coming in together, the event has set a new benchmark for corporate celebrations in India.
