HMD has unveiled the Nokia 2360 Flip, a new feature phone designed for senior citizens and school students. Combining a traditional clamshell design with modern safety features, the handset focuses on simple communication, emergency assistance and parental controls. Its key highlights include dual displays, a dedicated SOS button and HMD’s Family Assist feature.
Nokia 2360 Flip Features and Specifications
The Nokia 2360 Flip features a 2.8-inch QVGA primary display and a smaller 1.77-inch external screen. The secondary display allows users to check notifications and other basic information without opening the phone. It retains a traditional physical keypad, which makes navigation and calling straightforward.
One of the biggest highlights is the Family Assist feature. It allows family members to remotely manage selected phone settings, including adding contacts, adjusting volume levels and setting reminders. The companion application is available for Android and iOS, with remote commands communicated through SMS.
Dedicated SOS Button and Parental Controls
For emergency situations, the Nokia 2360 Flip comes with a dedicated SOS button on its rear panel. Pressing and holding the button triggers a call to a preselected emergency contact while simultaneously sending alert messages to up to five additional contacts.
The phone also provides child-focused features, including School Mode, which restricts access to the device and allows essential functions such as the clock and emergency calls. Parents can also manage approved contacts and restrict selected features using a Family PIN.
Battery, Connectivity and Other Features
The Nokia 2360 Flip packs a removable 1,450mAh battery, which is rated to deliver up to 15 days of standby time and 27.5 hours of talk time. It runs on the S30+ operating system and includes a QVGA rear camera, FM radio, a 3.5mm headphone jack and USB Type-C connectivity.
However, the handset has one major limitation: it supports only 2G connectivity, with no 4G LTE support.
Nokia 2360 Flip Price and Availability
HMD has not officially announced the Nokia 2360 Flip’s global pricing or availability details. The phone will be offered in three colour options: Charcoal, Teal and Burgundy Red.
