Genelia Deshmukh, Nita Ambani And Radhika Merchant Bring Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla’s Craftsmanship To Life

The Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla aesthetic has always been defined by elaborate embroidery, rich textiles and a unique sense of Indian glamour. At the designers’ 40th anniversary celebrations in Mumbai, that signature craftsmanship came through in three very different looks worn by Genelia Deshmukh, Nita Ambani and Radhika Merchant.

Genelia Deshmukh’s Embroidered Kurta Set

Genelia Deshmukh embraced the couture house’s love for traditional embroidery in an elegant kurta set. Her look showcases the techniques associated with bu Jani Sandeep Khosla, including gota, vasli and marodi, turning a classic Indian silhouette into a celebration of artisanal detail. The complex surface work gave the outfit a regal character while keeping the overall silhouette sophisticated. Genelia’s latest appearance once again proves why the designer duo’s embroidered outfit remains a favourite for festive dressing.

Nita Ambani’s Maroon Sari Makes A Statement

Nita Ambani chose a deep maroon pure chiffon sari which balanced the simplicity with the architectural detailing. The standout element was its handcrafted velvet appliqué border featuring laser-cut geometric motifs inspired by Art Deco design. Her matching full-sleeved blouse continued the geometric theme with a complex trellis pattern across the bodice and sleeves.

She completed the look with diamond jewellery from her personal collection, while soft waves, kohl-lined eyes and a red bindi kept the beauty look elegant and understated.

Radhika Merchant’s Two Tone Co Ord

Radhika Merchant brought a more modern mood to the celebrations in a two-tone Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla co-ord set. The fitted jacket and matching skirt featured ivory floral embroidery over a deep brown base, which creates a striking contrast between traditional craft and modern dressing.

Together, the three looks showcase the versatility of Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla’s design language, moving effortlessly from the complex Indian embroidery and timeless sari dressing to the modern couture silhouettes.
