Mahindra is gearing up to introduce the refreshed Scorpio-N facelift, and the latest undisguised spy shots have revealed several exciting updates ahead of its expected launch in August. While the SUV retains its rugged identity, the facelift focuses on modern technology, enhanced comfort, and subtle styling revisions to keep it competitive in the premium SUV segment.
The biggest changes are inside the cabin. Spy images suggest that the Scorpio-N facelift will feature a pair of 10.25-inch displays, similar to those seen on the Mahindra Thar Roxx. This includes a larger touchscreen infotainment system and a fully digital instrument cluster, replacing the smaller units on the current model. The dashboard layout has also been revised, with horizontally positioned AC vents giving the interior a cleaner and more premium appearance. Most of the switchgear, gear lever, and tan interior theme have been retained.
On the outside, Mahindra has opted for evolutionary rather than dramatic changes. The facelift is expected to receive a refreshed front fascia, redesigned alloy wheels, and minor tweaks to the grille and bumper. The rear design remains largely unchanged, with the signature vertical LED tail-lamps continuing on the updated model
The feature list is also likely to expand significantly. Reports indicate the SUV could gain a 360-degree camera, an upgraded sound system, a panoramic sunroof on higher variants, and additional advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), making it a more feature-rich offering.
Mechanically, the Scorpio-N facelift is expected to remain unchanged. It will likely continue with the 2.0-litre mStallion turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine options, coming in with the six-speed manual and six-speed automatic transmissions. Four-wheel-drive variants are also expected to continue for adventure enthusiasts.
Mahindra traditionally uses Independence Day (15 August) as a platform for major product announcements, which makes the Scorpio-N facelift one of the most anticipated SUV launches of the season. With updated technology, a more premium cabin, and familiar rugged capability, the refreshed Scorpio-N is set to strengthen the position of Mahindra in the highly competitive SUV market of India
