Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Tie the Knot in Star-Studded New York Wedding, Break Wedding Traditions

Global pop icon Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are officially married, wrapping up one of the most closely followed celebrity romances in recent years. The couple exchanged vows at New York City’s iconic Madison Square Garden in a lavish ceremony attended by around 1,000 guests from the worlds of music, sports, and entertainment.

The wedding combines in grand spectacle with personal touches. Actor Adam Sandler officiated the ceremony, while the couple chose to drop the traditional bridal party. Instead of bridesmaids and groomsmen, Swift’s brother Austin served as her “Man of Honour,” and Kelce’s brother Jason Kelce was Best Man. The decision has been widely praised for showcasing a more intimate and family-focused celebration, while also sparking a debate online over breaking the long-standing wedding traditions.

Swift wore a custom Christian Dior couture gown designed by Jonathan Anderson, paired with Cartier jewellery and Christian Louboutin shoes. Kelce also opted for a custom-made Dior suit. Outside the venue, giant digital screens lit up with the message “JUST&T MARRIED!”, delighting the fans gathered around Madison Square Garden despite the strict security measures and the road closures. Mobile phones were repeatedly banned inside the ceremony to preserve the privacy of the event.

The guest list featured an array of A-list celebrities, including Ed Sheeran, Gigi Hadid, Bradley Cooper, Selena Gomez and several NFL stars. Reports also suggested special performances by legendary singer Stevie Nicks during the celebration.

The wedding comes nearly three years after Swift and Kelce’s relationship first captured public attention in 2023. Following an engagement in 2025, their romance evolved into one of the most talked-about love stories in the world, usually dubbed as America’s royal couple.
