Tata Motors has officially launched the much-awaited Tata Sierra EV in India at an introductory starting price of ₹18.79 lakh (ex-showroom), marking the return of one of the brand’s most iconic nameplates in all-electric avatar. Positioned between the Curvv EV and Harrier EV, the Sierra EV combines nostalgic styling with high-end electric mobility which are targeting buyers who are looking for a premium family SUV.
The electric SUV is offered with multiple battery options and claims a real-world driving range of over 500km on a single charge. Tata has also equipped the Sierra EV with features such as Quad Wheel Drive [QWD] on select variants, fast charging support, a lifetime battery warranty, Boost Mode, advanced terrain modes and a feature-packed cabin with connected technology. Deliveries are expected to begin on July 15, while bookings are now open.
Alongside the launch, Tata has introduced a fresh palette of exterior colours across the different variants. The Sierra EV is available in shades including Pearl White, Glacier Silver, Tropical Mist, Cosmic Blue, Ember Glow and Stealth Black, though not every colour is offered on every trim. Entry-level variants receive a more limited selection, while higher-end versions get access to the complete range, including exclusive premium finishes. Buyers can also choose contrasting dual-tone roof options on select variants for a sportier appearance.
Inside, the Sierra EV features a minimalist dashboard with large digital displays, premium upholstery, a panoramic glass roof, ventilated seats, wireless smartphone connectivity and a suite of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). The SUV also provides you with multiple drive modes and a spacious cabin designed for long-distance comfort.
With its blend of iconic design, modern technology, impressive range and extensive feature list, the Tata Sierra EV strengthens the growing electric vehicle portfolio of Tata Motors and is expected to compete with the premium electric SUVs from Mahindra, BYD and upcoming global rivals in the Indian market.
