Suzuki has officially unveiled the facelifted XL7 at the 2026 Indonesia Motor Show, providing the clearest look at what could become the updated Maruti Suzuki XL6 for the Indian market. While the Indian launch has not been confirmed, the design and feature upgrades showcased on the Indonesian-spec MPV are widely expected to make their way to the India-bound XL6 facelift later this year.
The most noticeable changes are at the front, where the XL7 receives a redesigned grille with a sharper mesh pattern, sleeker LED daytime running lights, and a more sculpted bumper with silver skid-plate styling. The updated look gives the MPV a more premium and SUV-inspired appearance compared to the current model. At the rear, Suzuki has retained the smoked LED tail lamps but added subtle styling tweaks, including refreshed bumper detailing and black trim elements
Inside the cabin, the facelift is expected to feature a larger touchscreen infotainment system, an updated digital instrument cluster, revised upholstery, and new soft-touch materials to enhance the premium feel. Higher variants could also receive connected car technology, a 360-degree camera, wireless smartphone charging, and additional convenience features, bringing the XL6 closer to newer rivals in the premium MPV segment.
Mechanically, no major changes have been announced for the Indonesian model. If Maruti Suzuki follows a similar approach, the India-spec XL6 is likely to continue with the familiar 1.5-litre K15C mild-hybrid petrol engine, paired with a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission
Industry reports suggest the facelifted Maruti Suzuki XL6 could debut in India by the end of 2026. Along with refreshed styling and upgraded technology, it is expected to continue targeting buyers looking for a premium six-seater MPV with captain seats, competing against models such as the Kia Carens and Toyota Rumion
